Fayettechill is a family first and brand second. We pride ourselves on being more than just co-workers, we are a group of passionate individuals with one goal: Bring the Ozarks to the nation. To us, Fayettechill is more than just a collection of t-shirts, hats, stickers, and things, it is the life we've always dreamed of living. We invite you to live it with us.
Fayettechill was started by Mo Elliott (CEO) in 2009 during his sophomore year in college, who sold the landscaping business he started in high school to fund the initial designs, shirts, and stickers that sparked the Fayettechill we know today. Fayettechill was originally conceived as a culture brand that focused on promoting a laid-back or "chill" lifestyle. Mo recognized that culture cannot be built by a single individual, and that's when he enlisted the help of his SAE brothers and other friend to help build the brand and spread the world.
At this point, Fayettechill's other two owners and operators came into the picture. Devin O'Dea (Director of Development) was at the time Mo's pledge brother, study buddy, and co-schemer of college mischief and mayhem. Grant Holden (Director of Operations) was then the co-captain of similar shenanigans with a special knack for finding friends and getting things done. Together, the three (along with countless other brands) develop the initial designs, photo shoots, and operations that served as the foundation for Fayettechill.
Then things changed. Mo and Grant graduated college and quickly realized that Fayettechill was taking on a life of it own, one that transcended the laid back college culture of its neonatal stages. To give the Fayettechill direction, the trio decided that the Fayettechill community would be served by making the company as authentic as possible in representing the region we call home.
So we got busy. We evolved Fayettechill from simply being another brand to be a reflection of the ideal life we would like to lead. One that can clear busy schedules in the city to get out in Ozarks to camp, hunt, fish, and most importantly, play. A lifestyle that promotes curiosity and exploration into the unknown with a mission to accumulate new experiences instead of money or things.
To accomplish this, we reached out to the best and most promising athletes that competed in the outdoor sports the Ozarks allowed us to call hobbies. We began to collaborate with the most active and influential non-profit organizations so that we could help support their missions to develop, maintain, and protect the trails, climbing routes, and rivers that serve at the foundation of this regions booming outdoor community. We invited graphic artist, painters, photographers, videographers and all other creative types to meet and give us their take on what makes the Ozarks so special. We made a store and called it Basecamp so that we could have a spot to meet and learn from our customers and supporters face-to-face.
With your help, we've begun to see a very real impact on Ozark Mountain community in addition to being able to share the "secret gem" of the Ozarks with thousands of people who are ready show it love and now, the outdoor community is stronger then ever. Far from the days of antiquity when the it was designated the first National River in the United States, Buffalo River is bustling with outdoor activities of all kinds, with plenty of local and/or family own companies, like the Buffalo Outdoor Center to help you explore it on boat, kayak, bike, zip-line, motorcycles, and more. The White River [lets get two more rivers in here] continues to be a fly-fishing haven and see visits for fishing enthusiast around the world. 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell is considered one of the premier and most extreme rock climbing competitions happening today, it occurs every year in our backyard. The Cossatot River and Richland Creek are frequently filled with white-water kayakers of all experiences levels. Thanks to organizations like the Ozark Offroad Cyclists and Progressive Trail design, the Ozarks now house some of the most challenge and scenic single-track trails in America, and all their visitors from around the world are evidence of this. And we've only just begun.
We're currently in the middle of next big leap. Our mission to bring the Ozarks to the nation is no longer just a dream, it is a tangible reality. Help us tell the world about the Fayettechill and all the things we love about the Ozarks. We are all bounded by a passion to promote for the kindness and care that emanates from these mountains and it is our duty to let other similarly minded individuals around the world that such a thing exists. For us, these mountains, and the people who populate them, can be a source for everything that is wonderful and pure in life and we can't help but want to share it. Send us your ideas, your feedback, your concerns and join the family. There is always room for one more in our circle.
